Mid-Year Reflections and Relationships: Who’s Fueling Your Growth in 2025?

I’ve always loved the rhythm of the year—those moments that invite us to pause, breathe, and reflect. While December is the traditional season for reflection, I find that mid-year—right here in July—is just as powerful. It's a natural checkpoint: we’re far enough into the year to evaluate what’s working, and there’s still time to realign before the next season begins.

This is especially true when it comes to relationships.

Who’s in Your Life Right Now—and Why?

Whether personal or professional, our relationships shape so much of our energy, mindset, and growth. Some people challenge us to rise higher. Others help us feel grounded and supported. And some—well—some may no longer align with who we're becoming.

This season, I encourage you to ask:

  • Who is showing up for me consistently?

  • Which relationships uplift me, stretch me, or help me feel seen?

  • Are there patterns or people that drain my energy or keep me in old versions of myself?

We don’t always get to choose every interaction, but we do get to choose how we engage with them.

What to Do with Relationships That No Longer Serve You

Sometimes a person enters our life for a reason or a season. Their presence may teach us something, or simply offer a mirror of where we were at a point in time. But holding onto what no longer feels aligned can block the space needed for deeper, more meaningful connections.

As you reflect, consider these options:

  • Stay stuck in resentment or frustration

  • Set boundaries or even walk away

  • Accept the relationship for what it is

  • Shift your role or energy within it

  • Change your mindset and expectations

You don’t have to make a dramatic move—but you do deserve to feel empowered.

The Formula for Change Still Applies

In coaching, we work with a simple but powerful formula:

Awareness → Acceptance → Action

  1. Awareness: Who and what is impacting your energy?

  2. Acceptance: Are you honest about what is and isn’t working?

  3. Action: What choices will bring you closer to your best life?

Whether it’s reconnecting with someone who lifts you up or letting go of outdated dynamics, the middle of the year is a beautiful time to realign.

Let’s Create Your Mid-Year Pivot Plan

I’m deeply grateful for the clients and community I get to serve as a life transition and pivot coach. It’s never too late—or too early—to reflect, realign, and redesign your path forward.

If you’re feeling called to reassess your relationships, your energy, or your direction for the second half of 2025, let’s talk. I’m offering a complimentary 30 minute clarity session to help you uncover what’s next and make empowered decisions.

Final Thoughts

Relationships are mirrors. Some show us how far we’ve come. Others challenge us to grow. The key is choosing who stays in your inner circle and why.

Take time this season to be grateful, be intentional, and most of all—be present.

BE BOLD. BE BRAVE. BE PRESENT.

With love, light and joy,
