Riding the Waves of Change

As I reflect on this season, I can’t help but notice how life keeps inviting us into change. We’re deep into summer, and for many of us, that means travel, movement, and new experiences. But this year has also brought something else, what many are calling The Great Lock In.

Instead of chasing the constant rush, people everywhere are choosing to simplify, to stay put, to pour energy back into their health, home, relationships, and purpose. It’s not about closing off, it’s about locking into what really matters.

And that resonates deeply with me. Because whether you’re packing your bags for a fall adventure or staying grounded and intentional at home, this midpoint of the year is the perfect time to pause, reflect, and realign.

Where Are You in Your Journey?

I’ve been asking myself questions I want to pass on to you:

• What transitions are shaping my life right now?

• Where is my energy best invested?

• What is my heart nudging me toward?

Spending time by the ocean this summer reminded me of something simple yet profound: waves don’t ask for permission. They just move. Maybe that’s how we should approach change too—moving gently, boldly, and without apology.

Let Life Move You

Some days, everything flows. Other days, you’re caught in the undertow. But just like in the ocean, we can breathe, float, surrender, and begin again.

Life isn’t about perfect balance. It’s about learning to ride the waves with honesty and grace. Growth rarely looks tidy, but it always carries wisdom.

Mid-Year Reflection

As we move through summer and look ahead to fall, I encourage you to pause and ask:

• How have I been navigating my waves this year?

• What lessons did my challenges teach me?

• What joy deserves celebration?

• Where am I craving change or resisting it?

There’s still so much of 2025 left to shape. This is your chance to reset, refine, and recommit.

A Mini Activity for You

Grab a journal or voice note. Explore the following:

  • What “waves” have I faced so far this year? Did I respond… or react?

  • What am I learning about myself, and maybe others?

  • Am I living aligned with my values? Showing up authentically?

  • What am I grateful for right now?

  • What changes am I willing to make to experience more flow, joy, or peace?

Gentle Reminders for the Next Season

• Set small, meaningful goals.

• Try the ABC Plan: Acknowledge your needs, Breathe into clarity, Create small steps.

• Celebrate progress, not perfection.

• Share your intentions with someone you trust.

• Ask for help when needed.

• And always be kind to yourself.

You don’t have to control the waves. You only need to learn how to move with them.

This is your journey, whether you’re embracing the Great Lock In at home or traveling to new places this summer and fall. Trust the timing. Trust yourself. And let life surprise you.

If this message speaks to you—or you know someone who may need this reminder—please share it.

And if you're navigating a life transition and feeling stuck, let’s connect. I’m offering a complimentary 30 minute coaching session to help you create a personal pivot plan. Sometimes, all you need is someone in your corner.
